This pattern is a 20 ounce or Type II which is a solid vinyl with an osanburg backing, a heavier or more coarse cloth backing. This type is used mainly in higher volume traffic areas such as hospital and motel corridors, restaurant dining rooms, larger public areas. Type II is considered the "work horse" among vinyl wallcoverings and it typically specified for areas where greater than normal traffic and surface abrasion is evident and/or expected.
